To get your site there, we use a four-phase approach:

  1. Keyword Research – you may sell “acrylic widgets”, but we use our research tools to find that people actually search the term “plastic widgets” twenty times more often.  We find the terms that are highly searched,   achievable given the existing competition, and have good commercial intent (“buying” keywords, not information-browsing terms).  (This phase is done in the first month.)
  2. On-Page Optimization – this is where we tweak your existing website so that the google-bots can actually understand what your site is all about.  If you sell widgets, and the word “widget” is not on your page, but you have pictures of widgets…Google will have no idea what your page is really about, and it will never send anyone to it.  Most of the changes are transparent to human users. (This phase is done in the first month.)
  3. Off-Page Optimization – in this phase, we build your site’s authority level.  Links pointing back to your site, done in the proper way, from the proper places, are like thumbs-up votes in the eyes of the google-bots.  When they see that the Internet has many places pointing to your site, it increases your site’s ranking in the results.  (This phase is done in the first month, and from month-to-month thereafter, with no permanent commitment.)
  4. Reporting – we provide monthly reports that show you where you rank for various terms across the major search engines, and provide analysis of your natural search traffic.  (This is provided monthly.)
